As George held his pose, he wondered why every time he looked up, his portraitist Gilbert was stifling a laugh. How rude! Did he have food on his nose? As the hours ticked by George grew more and more cross before finally throwing his bible at the insubordinate painter. It was only when George saw his portrait that he realised he'd accidentally left his rollers in. Disaster! Everyone thought his lustrous curls were natural! Thinking on his feet, he declared that it was entirely intentional and that hair rollers were going to be the hottest trend for the summer of 1775. And be damned anyone who disagreed!
