Dr Safford and his wife Kathleen were huge fans of freezing cold water-guru Wim Hof and not only were they advocates of a regular ice bath, they swam in the sea every single day of the year (donning Santa hats at Christmas and bonnets at Easter!). But no matter how cold they got, they had their trusty Dryrobes to wrap up in as soon as they were out of the water, and after each swim they would promenade along the seafront with their oat milk lattes. In fact, they loved their robes so much that they point-blank refused to remove them for their annual family portrait, despite the pleas of the artist (and the kids). SO embarrassing!
