All her life, Danielle had been taught to be quiet, dainty and subservient, and to concentrate on her embroideries and watercolours. But after watching the 2021 Olympics, she was so inspired by 13 year old Momiji Nishiya scooping the gold for skateboarding that she started skating in secret, 'borrowing' her brother's deck when he was out on his horse. And today she had triumphed, having mastered both an ollie AND a kickflip on the same day. She felt like the skateboarding champion of the world!
