Delft tiles are cool and everything, especially if you're Dutch, but I think it's high time the UK had their version. So I made some! Each tile is lovingly hand painted and depicts a familiar everyday object or cultural icon.
This tile shows a domestic washing machine because what could be more ordinary, but so crucial to our lives than the humble front-loader?

Materials: Ceramic tile, blue acrylics, varnish.
